The Faculty of Technology at Wayamba University of Sri Lanka officially welcomed its newest cohort of students during a formal Inauguration Ceremony held on March 5, 2026.

Marking the formal commencement of 10th Batch of the Faculty of Technology, the event took place at the Pandith Amaradewa Auditorium at Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. The ceremony, which commenced at 9:30 a.m., represents a significant milestone for both the new students and the University.

The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and excitement as the new undergraduates took their first official steps into University education. During the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor E. M. P. Ekanayaka, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. I.P.M. Wickramasinghe, and other academic Staff extended their warmest wishes to the new entrants, emphasizing the university’s dedication to providing a successful, innovative, and rewarding period of study.
