The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) describe the expected achievements of graduates 3–5 years after graduation. Graduates of the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Technology are expected to:
PEO 1:
Establish successful professional careers by applying engineering knowledge, technical competencies, and problem-solving skills to address industry challenges, enhance productivity, and contribute to process innovation and continuous improvement.
PEO 2:
Assume positions of professional responsibility by demonstrating ethical leadership, effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders in multidisciplinary environments.
PEO 3:
Engage in continuous professional development through career advancement, lifelong learning, postgraduate education, and participation in relevant professional development activities.
PEO 4:
Apply a global perspective and entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities, develop innovative engineering solutions, and create value through technology-based ventures.
The Program Outcomes (POs) define the knowledge, skills, and professional attributes that graduates are expected to demonstrate upon successful completion of the Mechanical and Manufacturing Technology degree program.
Graduates will be able to:
PO 1:
Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering fundamentals to defined and applied engineering procedures, processes, systems, and methodologies.
PO 2:
Identify, formulate, investigate relevant literature, and analyze broadly defined engineering problems to reach well-supported conclusions.
PO 3:
Design solutions for broadly defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the design of systems, components, or processes while considering specified needs and conflicting constraints.
PO 4:
Conduct investigations of broadly defined engineering problems using established methods, including the design and execution of experiments.
PO 5:
Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and information technology tools to solve broadly defined engineering problems.
PO 6:
Demonstrate an understanding of societal, health, safety, legal, cultural, and environmental considerations related to engineering technology solutions.
PO 7:
Evaluate the sustainability, environmental impact, and societal implications of engineering technology solutions and practices.
PO 8:
Demonstrate commitment to professional ethics, responsibilities, and the standards and norms of engineering technology practice.
PO 9:
Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader of diverse teams in professional engineering environments.
PO 10:
Communicate effectively on broadly defined engineering activities with the engineering community and society through technical reports, design documentation, presentations, and clear exchange of information.
PO 11:
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of technology management principles and apply them individually or collaboratively to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments.
PO 12:
Demonstrate preparedness for independent learning and lifelong professional development in emerging and specialized technologies.
